An inspiring day at the World Bank – Global Education in Action

Today was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

From morning till evening, I had the opportunity to participate in a series of deeply insightful cluster meetings with the World Bank’s regional education teams representing Asia-Pacific, Latin America & the Caribbean, Middle East, GCC, and the MENA region.

Each conversation brought unique perspectives:

Asia-Pacific emphasized foundational literacy and play-based early years learning.

Latin America focused on addressing inequity in learning outcomes and investing in SEL.

MENA and GCC teams highlighted digital transformation, girls’ education, and resilient learning systems.

Across all discussions, one thing was clear—quality early education, teacher empowerment, and mental well-being are not just priorities, they are urgencies.

At CCE Finland, we’re proud to contribute to this global mission through:

The SISU Box – our low-resource, play-based ECE toolkit used in classrooms and communities

Satu Yoga Cubes – supporting emotional resilience and trauma-informed care

SEL Box – building empathy, self-regulation, and engagement in the early grades

It’s a privilege to see how Finnish pedagogical values—creativity, equity, and child-centered learning—are resonating and being adapted in so many corners of the world.
